Poetry Open Mic(less)
The Glove Cities Arts Alliance is launching our Poetry Open Mic, which we hope will become a monthly staple in Fulton County’s arts community!
Poets, lyricists, and writers of all levels are invited to share their pieces, experience the works of others, and give constructive feedback at this unique event, hosted by GCAA members Frank “deVer” Pullen and Julie Anderson.
Opening/Artist Reception: Material Conversations
The Glove Cities Arts Alliance invites you to the Opening/Artist Reception for our second 2026 exhibition, Material Conversations, featuring textile artworks by Dawn Bisio and Judith Plotner.
“Using a combination of painting, printing and stitching Judith creates fiber collages evoking her experience of living in New York city, created while currently living off grid in Bleecker New York.” -Artist Statement, Judith Plotner
“FACE FORWARD: The People of Gloversville, is a Community Arts Project honoring the residents of Gloversville, New York- a town shaped by industry, creativity, and resilience in the heart of the Mohawk Valley. Using recycled fabric and thread, Bisio creates detailed textile portraits that celebrate the people of the community while championing textile sustainability.” Artist Statement, Dawn Bisio
