The Hi-Fi Record Club

  • Glove Cities Gallery 52 Church Street Gloversville, NY, 12078 United States (map)

This intimate vinyl experience celebrates high-fidelity sound, exceptional record pressings, and the lost art of listening to records together. Each session features excellent pressings of vinyl records played on vintage hi-fi audio equipment, presented in a fully immersive analog-era flashback setting, with Psychedelic Shack host Alex Miller.

The Hi-Fi Record Club meets Thursdays at 5:30p-7.00p throughout February, with limited reservations available for the following presentations:

February 12 — Moving In Stereo: When the recording studio became an instrument
Landmark rock records that reshaped how we hear music, 1966–1980.

February 19 — Computer World: When music became code
New Wave, electronic, synth-rock, and alternative recordings, 1980 - 2000's

February 26 — DECCA Record Manufacturing
Exploring and celebrating Gloversville’s homegrown role in record production and its mark on the music industry.
