Dawn Bisio

Dawn Bisio is a Korean-American multidisciplinary artist working across painting, installation, sculpture, and textile art. Using paint, recycled materials, found objects, and natural elements, her practice explores themes of identity, transformation, impermanence, and environmental sustainability. She is based in Gloversville, New York.
Bisio holds a B.A. in Film/Video from New College of California and an M.A. in Film/Writing from New York University. She continued her artistic training at the Woodstock School of Art and through mentorships with contemporary artists.
Her work has been exhibited at the Kingston Pop Museum, the Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum, the Woodstock Artists Association & Museum, and The Lace Mill Galleries, among other venues. Her work has also been featured as the cover art for three jazz albums and on stage as the backdrop for a Matthew Shipp Trio performance at the VisionFest International Jazz Festival.
Mrs. Bisio was the recipient of a 2025 Saratoga Arts Grant for her Face Forward series, which will be presented at the Glove Cities Gallery in March, 2026.
